Former BBC news anchor Huw Edwards, one of the most recognisable faces on UK television, arrives at court charged with three counts of making indecent images of children. Edwards resigned from the BBC in April on "medical advice", six months after he was initially arrested, and was charged on June 26. The offences, which are alleged to have taken place between December 2020 and April 2022, relate to images shared on a WhatsApp chat, police said in a statement. IMAGES
"These are all Biden trials," Donald Trump says as he arrives at a New York courthouse where prosecution and defense teams are set to present opening arguments in the former US president's historic hush-money criminal trial. "I'm here instead of being able to be in Pennsylvania, in Georgia, and lots of other places campaigning," he adds. Controversial British-American influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan arrive at a Bucharest court of appeals, after their arrest by Romanian police over UK sex offence charges. Romanian authorities said in a statement that they executed "two European arrest warrants issued by the UK judicial authorities for the committing of sexual offences, of exploitation of persons on the territory of the UK".
