L’un des aspects les plus impressionnants dans le monde de la tech, c’est la remontada de Huawei. Huawei, c’était le numéro un chinois du smartphone, et ils n’étaient pas loin de devenir numéro un en France… jusqu’à ce que Donald Trump leur inflige un coup dur : mise sur liste noire, interdiction aux États-Unis, rupture des partenariats avec Qualcomm et Google… Malgré tout, plusieurs années plus tard, Huawei est toujours là, avec un téléphone pliant ultra-fin et un appareil photo surpuissant. Leur prise en main est spectaculaire. Côté écosystème, ils gagnent en indépendance avec leurs propres applications, leur propre OS – certes dérivé d’Android, mais qui leur permet de se détacher progressivement. Ils développent même un écosystème complet d’appareils, incluant des voitures. Et le plus fou ? Aujourd’hui, Huawei fabrique des puces capables de rivaliser avec celles des Américains, alors que personne ne pensait la Chine capable d’y parvenir si vite. L’histoire de Huawei prouve que les États-Unis ont peut-être fait une erreur en tentant d’éliminer cette entreprise. Au lieu de disparaître, Huawei est devenu encore plus puissant. Au MWC de Barcelone, leur stand est le plus grand, ils sont présents dans tous les secteurs : éducation, santé, et bien sûr, smartphones. Leur comeback est indéniable : en Chine, ils sont redevenus numéro un des ventes.

"India is projected to overtake China as the world's most populous country during the current month - April of 2023," says John Wilmoth, Director, Population Division, UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
