A missile strike by Russia overnight hit the city centre of Kharkiv, Ukraine´s second largest city, damaging several buildings and water pipes and leaving a large crater in the road. "There is a school here, offices and residential buildings, but there cannot be military objects here because this is the central part of Kharkiv," says Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov. Firefighters work on the scene of a strike in Kharkiv, after Russia launched around 10 missiles at the northeastern Ukrainian city on Sunday, injuring 41 people, including five children, according to the head of the region's military administration. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that his military has deployed Western-supplied F-16 fighter jets to counter Russia's recent large-scale drone and missile attacks.
