Protests after jailed Bangladeshi Islamist leader dies

Police clashed with protesters in a Dhaka hospital as they barricaded the ambulance carrying Sayedee's corpse demanding a funeral prayer in the capital. Sayedee died Monday in a prison hospital ten years after his conviction by a controversial war crimes court triggered the deadliest political violence in the country's history. IMAGES
