More than 15,000 people play the angklung, a traditional Indonesian instrument, at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium in the capital Jakarta. The gathering was a successful attempt to break Guinness World Record for the largest angklung ensemble.
The Mexican town of Pijijiapan, in the southern state of Chiapas, has set a Guinness World Record for making the largest string cheese ball. Weighing 558kg, the ball surpassed the 350kg required to set the record. The ball of "quesillo" cheese, also known as "Oaxaca cheese," was created by 80 workers using approximately 6,000 liters of milk.
On Tuesday, French tightrope walker claimed a new world record as he completed a 2,200-metre-long (nearly 1.4-mile) trip to Mont Saint-Michel along a wire suspended between a crane and the famous abbey on the tidal island.
Dubai's record breaking Palm Fountain covers an area of 1,335 square metres and is located at The Pointe shopping and dining district on Palm Jumeirah, a man-made palm-shaped island. It has over 3,000 LED lights, 7,500 nozzles and can shoot water up to 105 metres, according to Guinness World Records.
