British Foreign Secretary David Cameron urges members of the US Congress to approve a Ukraine aid package. The Republican leader of the US House of Representatives blocked war aid for Ukraine on February 13, ignoring President Joe Biden's plea that passing the bill was vital for standing up to Russian President Vladimir Putin. During his speech at the Conservatives party conference in Manchester, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak calls on his allies to continue arming Kyiv to enable Ukraine to "finish the job" and repel the Russian invasion. SOUNDBITE
During a speech delivered to the press in London's Downing Street briefing room, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announces the push back of the ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars from 2030 to 2035. "We're going to ease the transition to electric vehicles. You'll still be able to buy petrol and diesel cars and vans until 2035.", he states. The announcement comes as the UK softens its policies initially aimed at achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. IMAGES
