Russia announced on Wednesday that it would deploy anti-aircraft missiles in Syria near the Turkish border, a day after Turkey shot down a Russian military jet.
The Russian Ministry of Defence releases footage of anti-submarine aircraft Tupolev Tu-142 flying over the Atlantic Ocean. The Defense Ministry says crews conducted exercises "to search for submarines (...) over the neutral waters of the Barents, Norwegian Sea and the Atlantic Ocean", and were "escorted by fighters from the Norwegian Air Force and the British Air Force". Turkey has received the first delivery of Russian S-400 missile system. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that his military has deployed Western-supplied F-16 fighter jets to counter Russia's recent large-scale drone and missile attacks. "We destroyed already some missiles and drones using the F-16," Zelensky says at a press conference in Kyiv, declining to give more details. SOUNDBITE
