The United States calls on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to emphasize Ukraine's territorial integrity as he meets in Russia with President Vladimir Putin on the eve of a NATO summit in Washington. "We would urge India, as we do any country which engages with Russia, to make clear that any resolution to the conflict in Ukraine needs to be one that respects the UN Charter with respect to Ukraine's territorial integrity, Ukraine's sovereignty," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller tells reporters. British Foreign Secretary David Cameron urges members of the US Congress to approve a Ukraine aid package. "We should be standing up for freedom, standing up for the right of this country to defend itself and making sure that Putin doesn't win," he says while on a visit to Bulgaria. The Republican leader of the US House of Representatives blocked war aid for Ukraine on February 13, ignoring President Joe Biden's plea that passing the bill was vital for standing up to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
