Scores of tourists arrive at the Acropolis in Athens to visit before it closes during the hottest hours of the day due to a new heatwave. Like other archaeological sites in the country, the Acropolis, the country's most visited monument, will be closed between midday and 5.30pm (09.00 to 14.30 GMT), a measure that will apply until Sunday.
