In 2014, when the Islamic State took over the city of Mosul, it used the theater as one of its headquarters. The Mosul artists Union said that the militant group had also stolen most of its furniture, air conditioners, sound system, and other apparatus which they saw useful to them. The Rabei fell victim to airstrikes, then ransacking by looters and more looting by the IS. Some parts of the theater are charred burned and a hole in its roof bears witness to its damages but it did not prevent its first show to go on (Camera: OMAR ALHAYALI)SHOT LIST: THE RABEI 'SPRING' THEATER IN MOSUL, IRAQ.

Actually it was also the central office of the film studios and, of course, the theater where we are now.2.- It was built by a French and Swiss company. The Swiss was in charge of the building part and the French of the technical aspect.3.- In 2003, IT was hit by a coalition airstrike, which caused extensive damage to the sides and roof of the theater.4.- This was followed by acts of looting, pillaging and fires, which damaged many parts of the furniture and technical aspects. These acts hurt much more. Especially that he was abandoned for a long period before rehab began.Tetr5.- The Al Rashid Theater is an international Arab theater that presented shows from France, Germany and the Arab world.6.- The Al Rashid theater was the object of an air attack on its left side, but what affected the rest of the place, which is nine floors, was actually looting, pillaging and burning.7.- The truth is that the authorities evaluated its rehabilitation with several companies, but the costs that were presented were very very high, so it was not approved and was abandoned.
