Ipanema beach deserted as Rio de Janeiro closes beaches to curb virus spread

Rio de Janeiro's famed Ipanema beache is deserted, as the city closes its beaches in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus. Rio's mayor has warned of a "very critical" situation, with 95 percent of intensive care units occupied at public hospitals. IMAGES
