As far as media outlets and the vast majority of world leaders are concerned, President Donald Trump lost the election to President-elect Joe Biden. However, Business Insider reports the Trump administration is carrying on as if it's business as usual. In fact, it's planning to prepare its next budget proposal although it will be released next February and cover spending until 2022. They're pretending nothing happened. According to tradition and proper White House etiquette, the outgoing First Couple observes a number of protocols in the peaceful transition of power. But the Trumps have no intention of doing so. Rather than offering the hand of friendship, they will be raising their well-manicured middle fingers. CNN reports the Trumps have refused to invite the Bidens inside the White House before departing. Nor will they welcome the Bidens on the steps of the North Portico, much less ride with them to the United States Capitol. After all, the outgoing President and his family have refused to attend President-elect Biden's inauguration ceremony entirely.

The cooperative effort is a historic precedent dating back to the Adams administration in 1800. As President Donald Trump's term comes to an end, he and his administration have blocked a peaceful transition. The world is watching and a majority of Americans disapprove of the Trump administration's transition efforts. According to Business Insider, Trump and his team have repeatedly placed hurdles in the way of the Biden administration. Recent polling shows that 54% of respondents disapproved of Trump's actions surrounding the transfer of power.
President-elect Joe Biden on Monday said that his transition team is facing ongoing roadblocks. The roadblocks come from President Trump's political leadership at the Pentagon. Several of the blocks also come from the Office of Management and Budget, says Business Insider. "Right now, we just aren't getting all the information we need from the outgoing administration in key national security areas." Biden over the past week has repeatedly expressed concern about the lack of access he's received. The shutout follows alongside the SolarWinds hack and amid tensions with Iran.
(CNN)President-elect Joe Biden is expected to deliver remarks on Monday afternoon after receiving a briefing from members of his national security and foreign policy agency review teams. Biden has vowed to take a markedly different approach to governing than President Donald Trump, particularly when it comes to foreign policy. He has vowed to undo Trump's "America First" isolationist foreign policy and restore the United States' reputation on the world stage.
