Mamuju, Jan 16 (EFE/EPA).- The death toll from a shallow magnitude-6.2 earthquake on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi has risen to 42, with hundreds injured, the country's disaster management agency said Saturday, as aftershocks continued amid rescue efforts.Around 190 people were seriously injured and 34 died in Mamuju regency, while another eight people died and 637 were injured in Majene regency, both in West Sulawesi province, according to the latest report by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). The death toll from a powerful earthquake which struck eastern Turkey rose to 31, officials said Sunday, as rescue efforts continued.
