British security service MI5 has warned the UK Parliament an alleged Chinese agent has attempted to interfere in UK politics. The agency says Christine Ching Kui Lee - who has law offices in London and Birmingham - "established links" for the Chinese Communist Party with current and aspiring MPs. She also gave donations to politicians including Labour's Barry Gardiner, who received over £420,000 from her over five years. Gardiner says he has reported all donations to MI5.
