Fréland : De l’art au loft

L’ancienne usine rachetée à Fréland par feu Georges Frey en 2005, collectionneur d’art originaire d’Aarau en Suisse, devrait connaître une nouvelle vie. Un consortium d’entreprises locales pourrait transformer les 3 000 m² en cinq appartements dotés de terrasses et de jardins privatifs. Son fils Christophe Frey, par ailleurs, gérant de plusieurs établissements hôteliers dans la vallée de Kaysersberg, a pris sa décision. Durant plus d’une dizaine d’années, cette ancienne filature implantée Grand-rue à Fréland, avait accueilli des artistes en résidence et des collectionneurs d’art. De temps à autre, le public était invité à découvrir les lieux et les créations du moment. Georges Frey est décédé en décembre 2018. Ce lieu immense va donc connaître une nouvelle vie ; d’ici 2021 ou 2022, cinq lofts de 170 à 265 m² seront proposés à la vente. L’investissement a été évalué à 1,5 million d’euros. Banksy claims fifth London mural in week

Street artist Banksy claims a fifth mural in as many days, this time of two pelicans above a fish and chip shop in Walthamstow, North East London. Wake for artist Botero at Colombian Congress before burial in Italy

The coffin of Colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero, who died last week at the age of 91, lies in wake at the funeral chapel set up at the Congress in Bogota.
