A man was shot and killed by specialist armed officers in London, after he stabbed several people near London Bridge according to Scotland Yard Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu. SOUNDBITE

The assailant was tasered and arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker, the Metropolitan Police said. Police and crime scene investigators attend the scene in east London after a sword-wielding man wielding stabbed a 14-year-old boy, who died in hospital.
