Japanese automaker Toyota presented a prototype autonomous concept vehicle, named e-Palette, at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Monday. e-Palette is a futuristic-looking box atop a next-generation battery electric platform, powered by Toyota's future autonomous vehicle tech. It will be available in three sizes, ranging from 13 feet to some 23 feet long. Apart from serving as a shared transport vehicle, the e-Palette can also spur e-commerce by bringing stores, offices and retail business directly to your doorstep.
This is what the future of travel by car might look like. Toyota unveiled their Concept I self-driving car featuring an artificial intelligence assistant and other technology that made jaws drop at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last Friday. The car features an artificially intelligent assistant called 'Yui' and a biometrics detector of users' faces in order to read human emotions and offer a better emotional experience while using the vehicle. Imagine being able to read a book or spend time answering emails on your entire morning commute to work or simply entering a vacation destination into your navigation and sleep the entire way there. Toyota's Concept I is one small step in that direction.
