Description

According to Politico, there seems to be little urgency to end the current government shutdown after a last minute round of negotiations ended Friday night without a deal. Congressional aides say if a compromise doesn’t happen in the next 24 hours, it’s likely Congress won’t reach a deal until the New Year, when Democrats take over the House and Nancy Pelosi is elected speaker.
