Mobile phone footage filmed by Emiliano Grillotti in the Italian town of Amatrice in the early hours of Wednesday morning shows the immediate aftermath of a 6.2 magnitude earthquake which has left at least 38 people dead and dozens of others buried under the rubble of collapsed houses and buildings across central Italy.
Buenos Aires, Jan 19 (EFE).- The magnitude-6.4 earthquake that struck the western Argentine province of San Juan and was felt across at least four other provinces, so far has delivered more than 50 aftershocks although no deaths or serious injuries have been reported, according to authorities.
Croatia was hit by a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake. The government-owned Croatian News Agency HINA reported the quake caused major damage to the town of Petrinja. At least seven people were killed and dozens more were injured in the powerful quake. According to officials, it was the largest earthquake to hit Croatia so far this year. Mayor Darinko Dumbovic called for immediate emergency aid. Dumbovic said: "half the town has been destroyed. There's panic, people are searching for their loved ones".
