Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai says that Taliban rule in Afghanistan has made "girlhood illegal", in her keynote speech at an event held by the Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg to commemorate the anti-apartheid icon. “The Taliban have made girlhood illegal and it is taking a toll,” she says.
