Ouvert en octobre 2023, le Gradient Canopy se présente comme un drôle de bâtiment recouvert de panneaux solaires incurvés. Il a été inauguré en face de l’historique Googleplex. Il abrite à la fois des bureaux et un espace visiteur, à la manière de l’Apple Park situé à quelques kilomètres de Mountain View. L’idée de Google est d’accueillir les touristes dans son monde, en leur présentant son nouvel immeuble alimenté à 100 % par des énergies renouvelables. Le géant du web, avec Apple, dispose sans doute du campus le plus « instagrammable » et intéressant. L’ancien campus peut aussi être visité, notamment pour trouver les statues Android géantes et le t-rex Google Chrome.
