On New Year’s Eve, 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' hair guru Jonathan Van Ness revealed he's recently tied the knot with his 'best friend.' HuffPost reports People and other outlets have identified Mark Peacock as Van Ness's new spouse. Van Ness's Instagram post didn't name Peacock--a filmmaker and London native--specifically. Still, it drew enthusiastic responses from a number of famous pals, including other 'Queer Eye' stars like Karamo Brown and Tan France. Van Ness is genderqueer and nonbinary. He was previously in a relationship with Wilco Froneman. The pair split in December 2018.

Newser reports Ghislaine Maxwell wants out of prison so badly that she's willing to put up all of her assets to make that happen. The daughter of media tycoon Robert Maxwell is accused of grooming underage girls for convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The 58-year-old has asked to be released from confinement, claiming she's 'not the person the media has portrayed her to be.' To convince a judge to allow her release from Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center on house arrest, she's proposed a $28.5 million bail package. She wants nothing more than to remain in this country to fight the allegations against her, which are based on the uncorroborated testimony of a handful of witnesses. Lawyers for Ghislaine Maxwell Newser reports prosecutors have until Wednesday to respond.

And according to Business Insider, that's led to a great leap in the demand for cosmetic surgery. After looking at themselves in screens, more people are opting for face and neck lifts, cosmetic dentistry and hair restoration. A London clinic has reported a fivefold increase in bookings. Another surgical clinic in north-west England said the demand was 'crazy.' It's not necessarily just about vanity, though. For many, appearing attractive, youthful, and well-groomed is a key element of their professional toolkit. Not only that, working at home makes it far easier to deal with the sometimes unsightly recuperation period.
