Lagos residents protest police brutality after dismantling of SARS unit

Description

Demonstrations against police violence continue in Nigeria, bringing together hundreds of people in economic capital Lagos despite the dissolution of the controversial SARS police unit the day before. In June, a report by Amnesty International listed what it alleged were 82 cases of torture, ill treatment and extra-judicial execution by the SARS between January 2017 and May 2020. IMAGES
