Empty streets after Miami Beach shuts down hotels, enacts curfew

Miami Beach, a mecca for tourists, is all but empty after officials ordered the closure of all lodging establishments in an effort to fight the coronavirus. The order goes into effect at 11:59 pm on Monday, March 23. A curfew has also been added from midnight to 5 am throughout the city, effective Tuesday, March 24 at midnight, until further notice.
