Atlanta, Jun 2 (EFE/EPA) .- Protests over police brutality against African Americans gathered momentum in cities across the United States Tuesday, fueled by outrage at the president’s threat of militarization and the tactics used to clear demonstrators.Thousands of people gathered in the afternoon in central Washington DC as protesters also flooded the streets of New York, Los Angeles and Houston on the eighth day of protests over the killing of George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer last week. Protesters also continued to defy Atlanta's 9 PM curfew put in place to quell demonstrations.
