Pentagon purge: Trump loyalists placed in top spots

Description

Four top officials in the US Pentagon have been either sacked or resigned in the past 48 hours, including Defense Secretary Mark Esper, who was forced out by the president. Pentagon officials worry the department is being stacked by Trump loyalists at a time when the military is trying to remain apolitical following the presidential election. FRANCE 24’s international affairs editor Philip Turle says the president appears to be installing 'yes people' who would follow his orders irrespective of the legality.
