Sri Lanka begins to relax measures against COVID-19

Colombo, May 11(EFE/EPA).- The Sri Lankan government announced on Monday the relaxation of the island-wide curfew to restart economic activity in the country. The curfew was imposed for nearly two-months in order to slow down the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes the COVID-19 disease. Sri Lanka has so far registered more than 800 cases of coronavirus and 9 deaths from the disease.
