India pays tribute to medical personnel for their fight against coronavirus

Bangalore, May 6, (EFE/EPA).-Crowds of people gathered on Wednesday in Bangalore to pay a tribute to medical personnel, social workers, drivers and police for their hard work in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.The number of confirmed cases in India reached more than 49,000 cases with 1,695 deaths.The Indian government announced lockdown extension for two weeks unti May 17 with new relaxation action plan for red, green zones as the third phase of the countrywide lockdown began Monday to stem the spread of the virus.
