The week-long fair, a major annual meeting for both the public and French politicians, opens in a climate of intense discontent, revived by President Emmanuel Macron's proposal for a large round table to which farmers refuse to participate. Some Parisians woke up to the sound of tractor horns this morning. Several tractors are seen running up the streets of Paris near the Porte de Versailles venue of the International Agricultural Show.
