Brussels (Belgium), Feb 18 (EFE) .- The members of the Cuban opposition Elena Larrinaga and Alejandro González denounced Cuba for its lack of respect for human rights before the Human Rights Subcommittee of the European Parliament.(CAMERA: Leo Rodríguez) STATEMENTS FROM ELENA LARRINAGA, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE FEMALE NETWORK OF CUBA: (IN SPANISH)"It seems that the international powers have always forgiven Cuba for their lack of human rights because their social rights were wonderful, but the opposite is true.""Gender violence in Cuba affects every area of society, Cuba is a patriarchal society where women's issues are considered normal. Cuba has denied information on this matter but we have investigated this situation to ask for help from the European parliament and from women who fight for women's equality around the world."
