A Boat Carrying Hundreds of Refugee Sank in the Greek Island of Lesbos

This year, tragedy has repeatedly struck the small Greek island of Lesbos, a tourist destination now at the center of the European refugee crisis. Aid workers described Wednesday as a "day of death" after a boat carrying hundreds of people capsized, leaving dozens fighting for their life. At least 11 people died, many of them children, and dozens more were missing by Thursday morning, authorities said. The refugees had been trying to cross from Turkey to Greece.
