Russia launched an air attack on Kyiv early Thursday, killing at least three people including two children and bringing fresh terror to the city after a week of strikes. IMAGES
UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, evokes the spirit of Winston Churchill as he welcomes Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the room from which Britain's World War Two leader made some of his most famous speeches. "In the same way today, your leadership, your country's bravery and fortitude are an inspiration to us all" says Sunak. Zelensky responds with thanks and says he looks forward to discussing more urgent military support, with the UK pledging additional supply of "hundreds" of both air-defence missiles and long-range attack drones to fend off Russia's invasion. EU chief Ursula von der Leyen announces she would help organise a conference on securing the return of Ukrainian children taken to Russia during the ongoing conflict. "We are at the very beginning of very hard work, we aim to pull together international pressure to take all possible measures to establish the whereabouts of these children," she says. SOUNDBITE

ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan says crimes affecting children were his top priority when he came into the role and form the basis for the arrest warrant issued for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
