The students, from the Ayotzinapa Rural Normal School, disappeared between the night of September 26 and the early morning of September 27, 2014, when they were traveling via bus to participate in demonstrations in Mexico City. The Mexican government has recently promised to provide the parents of the young people with all available information on the case, which a commission of international experts has found to implicate the army. Mexico's national guard secures a Forensic Medical Service building in Acapulco, where the body of recently elected mayor Salvador Villalba Flores is being kept after he was assassinated. Villalba -- who was to take office in October in Copala, a town of about 4,000 residents about 130 kilometers (80 miles) southeast of Acapulco -- was shot dead while traveling on a highway, according to prosecutors in Guerrero state.
