A French court has suspended a ban on full-body "burkini" swimsuits imposed by a Mediterranean resort that has angered Muslims, feminists and civil liberties campaigners. Nathan Frandino reports.
Former president of France Nicolas Sarkozy demanded a ban on the full-bodied swimsuit, nicknamed a 'burkini,' which he called a provocation to the French, as he held the first meeting for his presidential campaign, in Chateaurenard, Thursday.
The French Burkini ban has been suspended in the southern town of Villeneuve-Loubet, near Nice. Was it the pressure from social media that caused the French court to react?
