Electric car lovers and green activists need to take note of the Rinspeed Oasis, a self-driving concept car designed by German supplier and drive engineering company ZF and showcased at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Tuesday. The Rinspeed Oasis comes with a garden integrated under the bonnet of the vehicle, making it the 'greenest' concept we've ever seen. The project is the result of a collaboration between ZF, which supplied the car's technological components, and the Swiss automotive industry think tank Rinspeed, which owns the idea around the Rinspeed Oasis. The concept car is not actually planned for manufacture, but was instead designed to inspire the auto industry.

It's called BUZZ ID, and it's the first driverless all-electric micro bus that features front and rear wheel drive. ID BUZZ can travel up to 372 miles on a single charge. When the van is running in self-driving mode, the front seats turn around and the steering wheel retracts, creating an interior space for up to eight people. ID BUZZ is expected to hit the market in 2020.

Lexus unveiled their new LF-1 model to a packed audience at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on Monday, boasting a revolutionary 360 degrees on-board camera display view designed to replace car mirrors. A new Chinese car company called Redspace unveiled the innovative REDS prototype model at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday, designed by former BMW Design Chief Chris Bangle. German car manufacturer BMW unveiled its brand new i8 Roadster model at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday. The i8 Roadster is a two-seater hybrid sports car featuring a soft-electric top and an aluminium body with a carbon-fiber passenger cell.The car comes with a battery that has an electric-only range of up to 18 miles before the 3 cylinder, 369 horsepower gas engines joins in. The i8 hybrid roadster is fast - its top speed is 155 mph and the sleek vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 4.4 seconds.
