À Las Vegas, la startup française Exwayz a proposé à Numerama de monter dans une voiture équipée de deux capteurs LiDAR, afin de nous montrer comment elle modélisait un environnement en 3D. Exwayz commercialise un logiciel pour les entreprises qui veulent fabriquer leurs propres véhicules autonomes. Deux antennes LiDAR sur le toit et un GPS… Voilà, en quelque sorte, ce qu’il suffit de posséder pour effectuer une modélisation 3D ultra-réaliste d’une ville comme Las Vegas. Présente dans le Nevada à l’occasion du CES 2024, la startup Exwayz a proposé à Numerama de l’accompagner lors d’une modélisation-démo de la ville des casinos. Le résultat est visuellement saisissant, même s’il est évident que ce type de technologie se destine surtout aux entreprises.
