Un avion Boeing 777-200 a perdu une roue au décollage de l’aéroport de San Francisco. La chute de la roue a endommagé des véhicules, mais n’a blessé personne. Cet incident survient alors que Boeing fait face à des difficultés importantes avec son modèle 737 Max, qui a entamé la confiance du public. Alors qu’un aéronef de la compagnie aérienne United Airlines quittait l’aéroport de San Francisco, direction Osaka au Japon, l’une des six roues fixées sur le train d’atterrissage principal, à gauche, s’est subitement détachée. Elle est ensuite retombée, tandis que l’avion poursuivait son ascension. La roue perdue a ensuite rebondi au sol et a modérément endommagé quelques voitures garées dans un parking, rapporte la presse américaine. Il n’y a eu aucun blessé et les passagers de l’avion — un Boeing 777 — ont été débarqués en urgence à Los Angeles. Il y avait 235 passagers à bord, ainsi que 4 pilotes et 10 membres d’équipage.
