Six driven wheels, an eight-cylinder engine producing 588 kW / 800 hp (788 bhp) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) peak torque, and all of it wrapped in a spectacular new pickup body: BRABUS expands its fascinating lineup of supercars with a new attraction – the new BRABUS XLP 800 6x6 ADVENTURE.The basis for this all-terrain high-performance pickup is provided by the Mercedes-AMG G 63. Using state-of-the-art CAD software, the BRABUS engineers designed a very special new supercar with a longer frame, pickup body and a drive system acting on three portal axles. The BRABUS XLP 800 ADVENTURE 6x6 is 623 centimeters (248 in) long and offers plenty of space for recreational gear on its pickup bed.The BRABUS supercar is powered by a BRABUS 800 four-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine producing 588 kW / 800 hp (788 bhp) peak power and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) peak torque. It accelerates the six-wheel pickup from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 5.8 seconds. Due to the all-terrain tires, the top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h (130 mph).The BRABUS XLP 800 6x6 ADVENTURE attracts universal attention not only on account of its pickup design: The front sports an unmistakable off-road look with the massive ADVENTURE brush guard and the front bumper with integral winch. Exposed-carbon elements with high-gloss sealed surface finish add sporty touches to the bodywork, while the matte black bed roll bar behind the cab represents characteristic pickup design. To match the white paint finish and the black BRABUS WIDESTAR fender flares, the designers chose black as the color for the exquisite BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior. Red piping and topstitching on the upholstery in concert with red glazing on the cockpit elements add intriguing contrast. The carbon elements match the pickup’s outer skin and give it a sporty touch in the interior as well.The BRABUS XLP 800 6x6 ADVENTURE is built to order and in the variant presented here sells for 1,100,000 euros (export price in Germany excluding statutory VAT).

Nissan has started production of the Townstar EV. The all-electric variant of the new compact van is based on Allianz's CMF-C platform and is manufactured at the center of excellence for vans in Maubeuge, France.With the Townstar EV, Nissan is taking another important step towards realizing the Nissan Ambition 2030 and the company's goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. The model is coming to Europe this fall, building on the success of the Nissan e-NV200. Nissan leverages its experience in the electric light commercial vehicle (e-LCV) segment and has further expanded its strengths in the areas of performance, reliability and sustainability.The all-electric variant of the Townstar has an optimized powertrain with intelligent energy management and battery cooling. Thanks to its aerodynamic body elements and the associated efficiency, the Townstar can achieve a range of over 300 kilometers (according to WLTP) depending on the equipment line. The electric motor has an output of 90 kW/122 hp and develops 245 Nm of torque. The 45 kWh battery can be charged with AC (11 kW or 22 kW) or with DC via the CCS connector. The latter enables charging from 15 to 80 percent in just 37 minutes.The Townstar is characterized by a fresh and modern design in the current Nissan style. The tailor-made front apron features an intricate kumiko pattern that reflects the model's Japanese DNA and gives the vehicle a high-quality character.In the interior, customer satisfaction and ergonomics come first. More than 20 technologies, including a 10-inch digital instrument display and integrated connectivity services, make the Townstar EV the most advanced van in the brand's LCV portfolio.
A five-star rating for the newcomer BYD ATTO 3 (in China known as Yuan Plus) continues the run of success for Chinese brands in Euro NCAP, following similar results for WEY and ORA in the last publication. An acronym for “Build Your Dreams”, BYD has in fact had a presence in Europe for over a decade in the form of buses, but the arrival of the ATTO 3 is the vehicle that will bring BYD to the masses. The budget friendly EV is performing well in Euro NCAP crash tests and comes fully equipped with latest ADAS technologies.
