A Greenpeace activist hangs from the building hosting the Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels, organised by the IAEA, holding a sign that reads "Nuclear Fairytale." Promoting nuclear energy has been a taboo in Brussels, but the summit is designed to send out the message that it is key to fighting climate change. IMAGES

Brussels, Dec 12 EFE, (Camera: Julio Gálvez).- The environmental organisation Greenpeace on Thursday unfurled a large banner warning of a climate emergency where EU leaders are meeting at a summit to try to set 2050 as the deadline for achieving climate neutrality. More than twenty people climbed the building and unfurled the banners. The Brussels police told Efe that at first they tried to negotiate with the activists to get them out of the building, but as they refused, officers and firefighters lowered them one by one.FOOTAGE OF THE DEMONSTRATION, BANNER AND FIREFIGHTERS LOWERING PROTESTORS.
