Description

Rome (Italy), Sep 20 (EFE) .- (Camera: Álvaro Padilla) The young people from the Piccolo America collective, which saved the emblematic Cine América in Rome and which brings the cinema to the Roman streets every summer, on Monday inaugurated their own theater, the Troisi Cinema, fulfilling "the dream of restoring to this cinema that has been abandoned for 8 years," the group's leader, Valerio Carocci, told Efe. FOOTAGE FROM THE PRESENTATION OF CINEMA TROISISOUNDBITES FROM VALERIO CAROCCI, LEADER OF THE PICCOLO AMERICA COLLECTIVE. TRANSLATION: 1. "The Troisi cinema that opens today. It is for us a holiday, our birthday, the fulfillment of a dream, the dream of restoring to the city this theater abandoned for 8 years. And above all we have created the first Italian classroom / study room, completely free and accessible 24H 365 days a year ". 2. "It is important to think of the Troisi not as a theater but as the Troisi Cinema, because it will not only be a theater but it will have a study classroom. We have rethought the cinema within the city at an urban level, giving it complementary functions to the projection of films ". 3. "Opening a cinema today is an act of madness, it is an act not only of courage, but also a little out of all logic, but we have done it and with the support of our families, who have put their own houses under guarantee ".
