School students in Bangalore return to class as COVID-19 restrictions ease


Bangalore, Sep 6 (EFE/EPA).- Students in Bangalore, southern India, attended the first day of school on Monday following the ease of Covid-19 restrictions.Karnataka State chief minister Basavaraj Bommai with senior cabinet colleagues and members of the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee agreed schools to reopen classes from class 6th and above grades, with 50 percent of the class attendance. India recorded 38,948 new Covid-19 cases and 219 deaths in the 24 hours. (Camera: JAGADEESH NV).
