A volcano near Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, has erupted for the third time in two years, but officials say there is no immediate danger to people or flights from the city.

Indonesia's Mount Sinabung has erupted with a string of blasts that send plumes of ash two kilometres (1.2 miles) into the sky, triggering a flight warning and fears of lava flows. This is at least the eighth time that the rumbling volcano on Sumatra island has erupted in less than a week, although there were no injuri es or major damage reported.
