Jankowicz says DHS disregarded her advice on how to respond to a torrent of disinformation about her mission, leaving her without public support in the face of attacks on social media and in conservative news outlets such as Fox News. "It was a little bit like being buried alive," Jankowicz tells AFP in an interview in Washington.
