Sébastien Loeb, the nine-times World Rally Championship winner, has shared his sensations at the wheel of electric cars such as the CUPRA Tavascan after driving the new SUV during his stay in Sardinia for the Island X Prix, in which he raced with the CUPRA Tavascan XE. Despite deciding not to participate in the championship this year, Seb accepted the challenge proposed by the ABT CUPRA XE Team to take part in these two races.
The CUPRA Tavascan is the first hero of a new era for the challenger brand. Pre-sales of the CUPRA Born will begin in Australia in December, although the 100% electric car has already started to travel on its endless roads. This is a country with very specific characteristics, both in terms of temperatures and infrastructure. To understand how this model will adapt to the new market, particular testing has been carried out. More than 22,000 kilometres were travelled, and thousands of data recorded on a journey to confirm that the CUPRA Born is ready to conquer Australia.
