Unveiled at the IAA Mobility show in Munich in September 2023, Scenic E-Tech electric completes Renault's range of electric vehicles in the C-segment. By combining electric modernity, useful technologies and a more sustainable design, it reinterprets the DNA of the family car to meet the challenges of its time. It also embodies Renault's sustainable development strategy, which is concerned with the well-being of both its passengers and the planet. The strong strategic, design and technological choices that have guided the development of Scenic E-Tech electric have been hailed by specialists, since it has won the Car of the Year 2024 trophy awarded by the COTY European jury... as did the first-generation Scenic in 1997.
With the new Kangoo E-Tech Electric, Renault is presenting the popular station wagon as a world premiere in a fully electric version at the Paris Motor Show. The 90 kW/122 hp electric motor and the 45 kWh battery enable a range of up to 285 kilometers in the practical WLTP test cycle. The world first combines a record-breaking amount of space for the driver and passengers with a trunk volume that meets the needs of commercial and municipal users as well as families and leisure-time customers alike.25 years ago Renault presented the first Kangoo. Since then, the French manufacturer has sold over four million units of the station wagon and its commercial vehicle variant, the Kangoo Rapid, in over 50 countries around the world. With its original appearance, its excellent space in a small traffic area and its groundbreaking interior variability, the Kangoo set standards in its class right from the start. As a novelty, the model established the side sliding door for the rear in the station wagon segment. With the Kangoo E-Tech Electric, Renault is now presenting a fully electric version of the bestseller for the first time.
With the new Megane E-TECH Electric, Renault presents the first representative of a completely new generation of electric vehicles. The dynamically designed model based on the newly developed CMF-EV platform combines all of Renault's expertise as a pioneer of affordable electromobility that is suitable for everyday use. A range of up to 470 kilometers in the WLTP test cycle, the slimmest battery on the market at 11.0 centimeters and the largest info display area in a vehicle in the compact class are just a few of the highlights with which the Megane E-TECH Electric Redefined the limits for battery electric vehicles.With its multitude of innovations, the Renault Megane E-TECH Electric embodies the ""Nouvelle Vague"" from Renault, in English ""New Wave"", a product offensive with which the brand is driving the transformation to an integral mobility provider and operator of a fully networked ecosystem for electromobility . Renault offers the electric model in two power levels with 96 kW/131 hp and 160 kW/218 hp. The battery is also available in two capacity levels: 40 kWh and 60 kWh. The batteries can be ""filled up"" with a wide range of charging capacities and amperages, including, depending on the version, DC fast charging stations with up to 130 kW.
The new Mégane E-TECH Electric is the first model to introduce the sensational “Sensual Tech” design with the new Renault logo on the front and rear. Features of the Mégane E-TECH Electric are sensual style elements such as the muscularly rounded shoulder area, the drawn-in flanks and the contoured bonnet. They are complemented by striking high-tech details such as micro-optical LED light strips at the rear or the large OpenR screen in the interior. Thanks to the lower cooling requirement of the electric drive, the designers were able to create a largely closed front. Another feature: the door handles, which are flush with the body, open automatically as soon as the driver approaches. The external appearance is completed by borrowings from the world of crossover models. Depending on the equipment, these include 18 or 20-inch wheels, the high belt line and protectors on the wheel arches and vehicle flanks. The roof, which is curved towards the rear, is reminiscent of a coupé.
