Rome's famous Spanish Steps are reopening to the public after restoration and will remain accessible at all times, says the Mayor of Rome, putting an end to a controversial rumours that the steps would close at night.

The Spanish government has welcomed the soccer federation's (RFEF) restructuring plan after the furore unleashed over its president's kiss on women's national team player Jenni Hermoso and vowed to end any discrimination against women in sports. The Federation's move came as the situation has spiralled into a national row over women's rights, macho behaviour and sexual abuse with many acting ministers asking for the body's chief Luis Rubiales to leave. Prosecutors have opened a preliminary investigation into whether Rubiales might have committed an act of sexual aggression. As worldwide outrage grows over Rubiales' predatory behavior and his refusal to resign, FRANCE 24's Nadia Massih is joined by Dr. Stuart J.
