"In Leipzig you can discover the performance of Porsche cars on asphalt on the Porsche on-road circuit. With the Cayenne you can also test the other extreme: the off-road track. You'll soon notice: a 6-kilometre stretch can pack a lot of challenges. Have you ever tried to drive through a 100-metre long water ditch? Are you brave enough to face an extreme ramp with a 80% gradient? If so, take up the challenge - on our off-road track. Don't be surprised if a few wild horses or aurochs suddenly cross your line of vision. They are part of a unique grazing concept and, as our conservation managers, keep overgrowth in check in the off-road terrain in a natural, environmentally-friendly way."
Campbell, Dirk Werner and Dennis Olsen took a sensational first win at Bathurst for Porsche after a seven-car shootout to the flag in the final 30 minutes, with Campbell's bold move down the inside of Aston Martin driver Jake Dennis at Forrests Elbow key to the win.
Surprise win at the 2018 Porsche European Open: Englishman Richard McEvoy finished at the head of a high-class field after four rounds around the Porsche North Course belonging to the Green Eagle Golf Courses. The 39-year old only qualified for the tournament with a win the week before on the second tier Challenge Tour. It was his first ever win on the European Tour at his 285th attempt. With a total of 277 (11 under par), he finished ahead of the German amateur Allen John, the Swede Christofer Blomstrand and the Italian Renato Paratore all in joint second one stroke behind. On the final day, 14,300 spectators (total attendance: 39,000) once again lined the fairways. They saw one top star after the other fall by the wayside: Paul Casey (-8, England) was joint seventh, South African Charl Schwartzel (-7) finished joint ninth with Masters Champion Patrick Reed (USA). After starting the final day at the top of the leaderboard, Bryson DeChambeau (USA) posted a six over par round to leave him visibly disappointed in joint 13th.

It is 50 years since Vic Elford, Jochen Neerpasch, Rolf Stommelen, Jo Siffert and Hans Herrmann, at the wheel of the 907LH (Longtail), claimed the first of 22 overall victories for Porsche at the world-famous endurance race in Florida. As the most successful manufacturer in the history of this prestigious race, Porsche will once again be strongly represented at the 56th edition on 27th/28th January. The Porsche GT Team will field two 911 RSR at the opening round of the IMSA SportsCar Championship. The number 911 and 912 cars from Weissach will face stiff opposition from BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari and Ford in what is traditionally the most fiercely-contested category – the GTLM class. Three 911 GT3 R will be run by Porsche customer teams in the GTD class. In total, nine works drivers and two Young Professionals will be in action for Porsche. The 24 Hours of Daytona is the first highlight of the 2018 motorsport year. Porsche has expanded its global commitment to GT racing this season, and has made organisational changes to allow this. Pascal Zurlinden takes over from Marco Ujhasi as the new Director GT Factory Motorsports. His predecessor will work closely with Porsche Digital GmbH in the future in his role as Project Manager Digitisation Motorsport. Sebastian Golz takes over project management of the 911 GT3 R, including works-assisted outings in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, Blancpain Endurance Series, and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
