In 2019, Alpine begins the seventh campaign of its contemporary Endurance programme. Entered under the Signatech Alpine Elf banner, the no. 36 Alpine A470 competes in the LMP2 category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).Eight teams are entered in this category for the full season. The competition will be even stiffer in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with some 20 cars expected to contest the season finale in June 2020.Crowned in 2016 and 2018-2019, the Signatech Alpine Elf team is among the favourites for the title.
In 2018, Alpine will begin the sixth season of its contemporary programme in Endurance. Entered under the banner of the Signatech Alpine Matmut team, the Alpine A470 will race with the number 36 on the entry list of the FIA WEC World Championship in the LMP2 category. Seven teams are entered in this category for the entire season. The opposition will once again be fierce at the 24-Hours of Le Mans as 20 cars are expected to participate.
The Signatech-Alpine Matmut team is back on the circuit with the Alpine A470 number 36, for the WEC prologue (World Endurance Championship) at the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet. The Alpine A470 is entrusted this season to the trio of drivers Nicolas LAPIERRE - André NEGRAO - Pierre THIRIET.
One month before the opening of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), the Alpine A470 of the Alpine-Signatech Matmut team is filmed on April 6 and 7, 2018, at the Paul Ricard Castellet Circuit for the prologue before the season.
A few days before the official start of Season 10 of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the two-day prologue at the Sebring track concluded after four valuable sessions to test the cars ahead of Friday’s race. Two 488 GTEs competed in the LMGTE Pro class and five in the LMGTE Am on the 6,019-metre Florida circuit.
