The history of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), in electric mobility, today celebrates a new milestone of a journey that sees the Car Company engaged since 1966, the year of the start of research on electric vehicles (EV) and that since then have lived a job constant of the R & D department in the specific segment.The new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2019, which today reaches the Italian market, is the result of a long history, studded with successes, of the Mitsubishi electric and is at the same time the precursor of a much wider range that combines the architecture of the SUV to the EV propulsion system - 100% electric in the plug-in electric hybrid version developed by the company.Outlander PHEV, without renouncing to the character of the SUV, enjoys in fact all the advantages of the asset of an EV: fluidity, efficiency, various charging options as standard (on the road, regeneration, Charge Mode, standard plug-in charging, recharging quick plug-in), zero emissions in everyday use on almost all routes (and in any case limited to long distances), not to mention full compatibility with the intelligent electric eco-systems of the future, starting from the smart grid V2G / V2H. Outlander PHEV is also already "WLTP Approved" and thanks to its only 46 g / km of CO2si it places at the top of the category and as one of the few players below the threshold of 50 g / km of CO2Presented in 2012 in its first release at the Paris Motor Show, Outlander PHEV was born as a precursor model: it is the first SUV, with four-wheel drive, designed on the architecture of an electric car. Mitsubishi Motors Europe has announced that the next generation of the ASX will be manufactured in Valladolid and will go on sale during the first months of 2023. The Outlander was first launched in North America in 2002, and this new model is the fourth generation to be sold.Styling debuts the brand's next generation Dynamic Shield front face and design language, with muscular fenders, bold proportions and available large-diameter 20-inch wheels. Even two-wheel drive models are fitted with the drive-mode selector, offering five distinct modes in this setup, to help drivers feel more confident in all driving conditions.Standard equipment on the 2022 Outlander includes 11 airbags, three rows of seats, myriad storage locations, USB-A and USB-C charge ports and 18-inch wheels.

The Outlander PHEV is the best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV in the world, with more than 150,000 units.It is soft, quiet and extremely easy to drive. It can be charged at any outlet (no special charger is required) in about 5 hours, at a much lower cost than gas oil or gasoline.Its emissions and consumption, on a daily basis, are very low. In WLTP approval, the most demanding, has a combined consumption of 1.8 liters / 100 km and CO2 emissions of 40 g / km. But if a daily tour is always done in electrical, the consumption (and emissions) tend to 0!The Outlander PHEV has two electric motors, one on each axle, which provide permanent traction thanks to the Mitsubishi S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) system, which derives from racing cars, and which is highly efficient and safe under all circumstances.
