The operating principle of the suspension is simple: while a conventional suspension consists of a shock absorber, a spring and a mechanical damper, in the suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, Citroën has added, at the ends of the suspension, two hydraulic dampers that make it able to deal with even the most uneven road surfaces without problems."
